Merriam-Webster is behind the times

Their "Word of the Year" would have been appropriate--like 10 years ago.

Ugh, that's terrible. Though there are two things I like on that page: their attempt at explaining l33t, and that the word 'sardoodledom' is on the list. That's a pretty good word (though judging by the rest of the list, it seems like a fluke. I mean, conundrum? quixotic? Have people not heard of these words before?)
